We have had a busy week now we're back from our summer holidays with plenty of awards going out. First up was the University of Strathclyde who received an Exemplary level award on Tuesday. The Exemplary level award is the highest level of award that that we have and acknowledges an organisation that has a strong and well established system of support for its carers. The University of Strathclyde is the first university in Scotland to reach Exemplary level and you can read more about their award and how they support their carers in their official press release.

On Thursday we welcomed a new Carer Positive organisation; Scouts Scotland, who received their award at the Scottish Young Carers Festival 2019. Many thanks to Joe Fitzpatrick MSP for presenting the certificate on the day and our colleague Rena who was volunteering at the festival and made sure that the award got there safely.

We also presented an Engaged award to Stuart McMillan MSP. Sue travelled to Stuart's constituency office in Inverclyde on Friday for the presentation. We hope this will also encourage other employers in the Greenock and Inverclyde area to consider becoming Carer Positive too.
